How Hookup...Go On A Progressive Dinner Date

Have you guys heard of progressive dinner parties? It's where a group of people get together for dinner, and different households host each course. One house does the appetizer, one does the first course, one does second course, one does dessert, etc. Apparently they're very popular among tight-knit communities (where everyone lives within walking distance and doesn't have to get in a car between courses.)

Turns out, it's pretty easy to replicate this on a date, if you do a little research beforehand. Just pick a theme (a cuisine? an ingredient? a neighborhood?) and check out the menus online. You can plot your course ahead of time, or you can keep it spontaneous.

For example, a progressive dinner date on the Lower East Side might look something like this:

Appetizer: Sal Y Limon Ceviche and Jalapeno Margaritas at Los Felix

First Course: Truffle Mac N'Cheese and Goose Island IPA at Spitzer's Corner

Second Course: Meatball Smash at The Meatball Shop

Dessert: Banana pudding at Georgia's BBQ

The menu can be expanded or cut short, depending on how full you get. Another advantage of this date is that it makes paying parity easy: you can switch off paying for each course.
