Vocab Lessons: Stagsby Scott Alden on June 21, 2020
If you date in New York City, you've probably noticed that there's an increasing number of older, unattached dudes in the dating pool. They tend to date a little younger, possibly due to an "extended adolescence," possibly just because they can, or maybe a bit of both. They're the male version of cougars and up until now we haven't had a word for them besides, you know, guys.
Well, now there is such a word -- STAGS -- and there's a brand new, hilarious looking movie all about them, too.
"STAGS" Trailer from Jamie Greenberg on Vimeo.
"Stags" can be defined as "Single NYC guys who keep on dating and playing into their late thirties and beyond, never marrying or settling down, and with no end in sight." Add it to your slang repertoire now.
Stags is already being called the male version of Sex and the City and you can catch it before everybody else inevitably gets hip to it at the Visionfest Film Festival this Friday at Tribeca Cinemas.
Don't think that just because you're going to see Stags that it means you have to go stag (pun!). Why not post the premiere as a date? It's sure to give you lots of fuel for lively, interesting date conversation after the fact. Just click the link below to find someone to go with!
