How Hookup... Celebrate the (French) Revolution
It's time to don a different kind of red, white and blue: This Sunday, you & your date are going to celebrate the anniversary of France's independence. In France, rowdy firehouse parties, flowing champagne, and fireworks mark the holiday; here in NYC, 60th Street's annual Bastille Day festival brings the party stateside -- and you're going. (First, you should propose this date idea here.)
Here's why: Entrance is free, and if you win the $5 raffle, you'll score a getaway trip for two to Paris -- a.k.a. the city of love. (If that's not enough of a great start to a date for you, then you're on your own.) The three-block fête has a beer bar, wine & cheese tastings, a full day's roster of live music, and plenty of French specialties like macarons and crêpes -- now there's something to celebrate. Vive la France!
