What's On Your "Relationship Resume"?by Scott Alden on July 19, 2020
At HowHookup, we're adamant that a first date should never feel like an interview. That said, we can't deny that it might be intriguing to get the chance to glance over someone's "relationship resume" before deciding if they'd be a good candidate for... the position.
Just imagine what a relationship resume could tell you about your date. What was their longest relationship? Ever co-habitated? What exactly are they bringing to the table in terms of skills? Why do they think they'd be right for you? If only such a document existed!
Well, thanks to the fine folks over at Thought Catalog, now it does. Writer Brandon Scott Gorrell has outlined his Mission, Core Competencies, and Experience in his hilarious and poignant piece "My Relationship Resume." He expertly navigates the complexities of being an "independent contractor in a part-time position," and humbly describes himself as being "proficient in rational discussion, meaningful sex and clear exchange of ideas."
If you're starting to think he might be a good candidate for the job, don't call Sally in HR to schedule an appointment just yet. Gorrell is not currently seeking employment, but "interested parties are encouraged to file his resume for potential consideration in the future."
