If you’ve spent any time on dating sites, you’ve probably encountered the profile of someone who looks amazing in their main profile picture, but then looks like a completely different person in the remaining 6 pictures (and therefore, presumably, in real life.)

And when you think about it, it makes sense: of course people will choose the very best, most flattering picture for their main one. It’s something that all online daters expect.

So here’s a thought: upload a nice picture for your main profile pic, and keep the crazy-flattering one as one of the “extras.” It shows that you can look amazing, but doesn’t make you seem duplicitous — someone looking will think “Oh, wow, he/she is cuter than I thought!” instead of the disappointed “Oh, NOT as cute as I thought. Next please.”
