“Jewelry Dating” Company Promotes Less Awkward Way To Meet Singles With Incredibly Awkward Commercial [Video]by Scott Alden on August 30, 2020
When I first read about the jewelry company 3Q’s unique approach to dating, I have to admit that I was kind of intrigued. 3Q Jewelry is basically the opposite of a wedding ring — anyone wearing one of their pieces is showing the word that they are single and available. By adorning yourself with 3Q jewelry, you’re inviting guys to ask you three questions, with no obligation beyond that. If you click, great. If not, no harm done.
Cheesy, but cute, right? I was intrigued, so I checked out their promo video to see what this kind of interaction would look like in the real world.
Huh. I think I can safely say that I’d rather go on a first date in a clothing-optional barbecue joint than have to do anything even remotely close to what happens in this video.
But I guess if you’re a crazy-eyed lady who’s in the habit of staring dudes down in cafes and you like necklaces with giant Qs on them, you might want to give this whole “jewelry dating” thing a whirl.
You never know.
There may be an earring-wearing, americano-mispronouncing Prince Charming in a tucked in polo out there just waiting to saunter up to your table and ask you if you like to travel.
