A British study has found that men with deep voices are more memorable than men with higher pitched voices. In the study, a group of young women were shown images while listening to a pre-recorded male voice. The women were more likely to remember details of the images that accompanied the deeper voices than those accompanied higher pitched ones. (Tangentially, this might explain a bit of why so many female newscasters have relatively deep voices.)

So, men of the world! If you want to stand out, you might want to put some effort into making your voice sound deeper.
