warm and fuzzy
How Hookup… browse the miles of books for a perfect read at Strand bookstore.
How Hookup… Get nerdy smart at the next Secret Science Club at the Bell House.
How Hookup… Check out the Moth.
An awesome place I've visited
Japan, Thailand, Brooklyn.
My perfect sunday
A run in the park. Brunch in the neighborhood. Walking around the city. Or, better yet, out of NYC and into some combination of woods and water.
The movie I've watched the most times
Aliens. In Japanese.
My life history in 5 sentences or fewer
Midwestern by birth and upbringing: it makes for a nice, sensible, low-drama core. Over educated, but had a lot of fun along the way to a few useless degrees. Best decision of my youth: getting on a plane to Asia on, mostly, a leap of faith. Possibly the worst karaoke singer you will ever meet. Searched for and was lucky enough to find a job worth doing.
My first concert / My dream concert
I think it was The Beach Boys. Definitely not my dream concert.
Obscure knowledge I possess
I know a lot about a couple of things, and a little about a lot of other things. I know nothing about cars and physics. Regrettably and without intention, I also seem to retain a lot of knowledge about celebrity gossip.
I have a weakness for Guys/Girls who
are tall and slender and like dogs.
For me, a first date no-no is
Hmm. First dates are hard - I try to leave the hasty judgements at home. But I suppose if you, like, tripped me on purpose or made fun of my nose, that wouldn't bode well for a second date.
What I would bring to show and tell
My three-legged dog.
I secretly want to be
Pretty much who I am. Except maybe a little taller.
I want to be with someone who wants to be
A slightly better version of who they already are - just to keep things moving forward :)
An infatuation of mine
Calling it an "infatuation" is a bit too strong, but I do have a pretty deep interest in animal welfare, the environment, sustainable living and really good chocolate (I may live in Brooklyn but I'm not a complete hippie)
If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would
Cure cancer? strive for world peace? All I can say for sure is that I wouldn't blow it on loose men and fast cars.
One thing my mother would want you to know about me
She told me once I was eager to please. I think she meant it as a compliment.
I want to come home to
Peace. Acceptance. Laughter.
